GETTING STARTED

From box to grid.

01

Power up

Charge DASH by USB-C and turn it on. Use the mounting fit for your wheel and check clearance around its controls.

02

Join your network

Connect DASH to your home’s 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Keep your phone, PC or PS5 on the same reachable network.

03

Choose your platform

Select PC or PS5 as the source, follow the setup below, and start a supported game. DASH opens the dashboard when telemetry arrives.

First-time Wi-Fi setup

DASH: with no saved Wi-Fi, the display opens a DASH-XXXX setup hotspot. Join it from your phone, then open the captive portal or http://192.168.4.1. Choose your home Wi-Fi, enter the password, select PC or PS5, and choose Save & Connect.

After DASH restarts, reconnect your phone to your home network. Hold the device’s BOOT/action button for 3 seconds to open Settings; scan its QR code or use the displayed local address.

Platform compatibility does not mean every game is supported. Telemetry fields vary by game and car.

PC SETUP

Connect through SimHub.

  1. Download and run DASH Setup when the installer is available above.
  2. Follow the setup screens. If SimHub is missing, choose Get SimHub, install it, then return to DASH Setup.
  3. Close SimHub if prompted so the installer can update the plugin. Allow the requested local-network access for your trusted home network.
  4. On DASH, choose PC and join the same network as the computer. In DASH Setup, choose Find my DASH.
  5. Open SimHub. Enable DASH Device Suite if SimHub asks, then start your racing game and enter a session.

No separate bridge, manual UDP port, or game selection on DASH is needed for the normal PC setup.

PS5 SETUP

Straight from your console.

Join the same home network and choose PS5 as the source in DASH settings.

Gran Turismo 7

  1. On PS5, open Settings → Network → Connection Status and note its IPv4 address.
  2. Open DASH settings and enter it under Gran Turismo 7 — PS5 IP Address. Save.
  3. Start GT7 and drive. No in-game UDP configuration is needed.

If your PS5’s address changes, update it in DASH. A router address reservation can keep it consistent.

F1 25: 2026 Season Pack

Note the numeric DASH IP shown in DASH’s PS5 settings, then use these in-game Telemetry Settings:

UDP Telemetry
On
UDP IP Address
Your DASH IP
UDP Port
20777
UDP Send Rate
60 Hz
UDP Format
2026

Use the display’s IP here, not the PS5’s. Other F1 versions require their own confirmed support.

FIRMWARE UPDATES

Keep DASH current.

  1. Confirm your hardware: this page’s firmware is for DASH 2.8″ IPS only.
  2. Keep DASH powered, connect your phone to the same network, and open the device settings using its QR code or local address. You can also try http://dash.local.
  3. Under Firmware Update, choose Check for Update. This checks the current device release feed.
  4. For a manual update, download the matching .bin above, choose Install Update File, select it, then choose Install Selected File.
  5. Keep power connected and wait for DASH to restart. Reopen settings and confirm the installed version.

Wireless updates require the OTA foundation to have been installed once by cable. If Firmware Update is missing, arrange the matching cable preparation or recovery instructions before flashing. The .bin above is an application update, not a complete recovery bundle.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Back on track.

DASH isn’t found

  • Check that DASH and the PC are on the same reachable network.
  • Avoid guest Wi-Fi and client isolation.
  • Disconnect a VPN while testing local discovery.
  • On your trusted home network, check that Windows uses the Private network profile.
  • Restart DASH and choose Find my DASH again. Use manual IP entry if discovery still fails.

Connected, but no data

  • Check PC or PS5 is selected correctly.
  • PC: keep SimHub open and confirm the DASH plugin is enabled.
  • PS5: check the GT7 console IP or F1 UDP settings above.
  • Enter an active driving session; menus may not send telemetry.
  • Missing individual values may be unavailable for that game or car.

Collect useful diagnostics.

In DASH Setup, choose Save diagnostics. Keep the report with your DASH model, firmware version, Windows/SimHub version, game, connection type and a short description of the problem. Review it before sharing. The report is saved locally and is not sent automatically.

For device issues, include a photo of the screen and the error text. Never include your Wi-Fi password.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

A few quick answers.

Do I need a PC to use DASH on PS5?

No. Select PS5 as the telemetry source and connect DASH and your console to the same home network. Supported games send telemetry directly; SimHub is only needed for PC.

Does DASH work with every game?

No. Compatibility depends on the telemetry each game exposes and the DASH integration. The PC lineup includes iRacing, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Automobilista 2 and F1, with per-game validation in progress. PS5 setup covers Gran Turismo 7 and F1 25: 2026 Season Pack. Available fields vary by game and car.

Does my PC have to use Wi-Fi?

No. Your PC or console can use Ethernet. DASH uses 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi; all devices must be on the same reachable local network. Avoid guest networks or client isolation.

Do I need a separate bridge or manual UDP configuration on PC?

No. Use DASH Setup and the SimHub integration. Choose PC on DASH, use Find my DASH, and start SimHub and your game. The standalone engineering bridges are not part of normal setup.

How do I change brightness, units and screens?

Open the DASH settings page from the device’s QR code or local address. Adjust brightness, choose KM/H or MPH, and select the screens in your rotation. Use Apply & Save for display preferences.

How do I return to settings on DASH?

Hold the BOOT/action button for 3 seconds. Scan the QR code or open the displayed address. If the device cannot join your network, release and hold again for 3 seconds while Settings is shown to open the setup hotspot. Tap to return to the dashboard.

Will a firmware update erase my settings?

The supported OTA update path preserves Wi-Fi and display settings. Keep power connected during installation and wait for the device to restart. Older units without the OTA foundation need a one-time cable update before wireless updates.

Why is the display waiting instead of showing a race?

DASH opens the dashboard when valid telemetry arrives. Confirm the selected PC/PS5 source, network connection and game settings, then enter a driving session. Menus and unsupported games may not send telemetry.

How do I remove the Windows software?

In Windows, open Settings → Apps → Installed apps, choose DASH for SimHub, then Uninstall. This removes the plugin and its Windows firewall rule.
